Mt Etna adventure: Drove up to Cave Ox in Solicchiata where we tried 4 different wines, fresh pasta and Tiramusu, on to Zafferana for beautiful views and delicious gelato then continued as high as we could where the kids climbed to the top, we didn't quite make it as high after 4 glasses of wine and pasta, the lava sand is not easy to climb up, but fun to slide down!! Such an amazing adventure!!! It's like Hawaii and the moon had a shining baby, named Mt Etna, I could live up here!!!

"The apartment was in a lovely location—nicely tucked away from the hustle and bustle, yet just a short walk to everything. Overall, the place was okay, but it could really use a deep clean from top to bottom. There was a faint smell of mold and cigarette smoke, and unfortunately, the strong smoke odor from the stairwell also made its way into the apartment. "The place is an oasis in the city. Very convenient for exploring the city and felt safe. A charming place. There were some issues with cleanliness though such as smelly pillows and dust & dirty floors. But the bathroom and kitchen were spotless. The kitchen could have done with some items such as a washing-up bowl or plug. But overall it was a very pleasant place and the owner was very good at communicating with us. "

"This property is two separate units - so not ideal for our family of five, three children. An upstairs which is very mildly renovated - but with a functional air conditioner (which is where two children slept to keep cool). And downstairs, which appears quite newly renovated, because evidently, there has been water damage, which has left a horrible smell in the apartment. Fans in the rooms are not efficient. "We had everything we needed at this apartment. The parking was one street away in a public parking area and we felt the car was safe. The wifi was a bit challenging at times, but with patience, we were able to complete the tasks we wanted to do. Most of the time the wifi was OK. Maria and family were helpful and very friendly. We travelled to Taormina, Mount Etna, Catania and inland from this point."

"I can’t say enough about this resort. Incredible location and wonderful hospitality with impeccable service from every level of contact. The the private bungalow was clean and had a comfortable bed. Our bungalow has it’s own private patio with jacuzzi that overlooked the sea. Just incredible. Very relaxing and enjoyable to experience the uniqueness of that with the moon over the bay of Isola Bella as our companion. While the day is lively with energy and guests enjoying the beach, the evenings are quiet and peaceful there where you can hear the lapping of sea on the shore. The beach is like a dream. You never tire of admiring the view of Isola Bella. The water is so clear. Bring your water shoes for the stone beach. The beach attendants and servers were so friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious from the variety and quality at breakfast to the beach club to the restaurants. We enjoyed lunches and dinners there several times and the fresh fish and high quality was truly impressive. We were there for our anniversary and it could not be more romantic and special place to celebrate. The event space they have to host weddings and parties is so beautiful and we were there to see a few a wedding, a baptism and birthday- each unique and beautiful. Amazing location. We have been to Taormina many times and there are many wonderful places to stay however this beach location, the high level service at every point of contact make the La Plage resort one you should not miss!"
