"I stayed only one night with my adult son and we were both very impressed. My son has traveled the world and has stayed in luxury hotels along the way. He was very impressed by this hotel. The building itself is worth the price! Having direct access to the Riverwalk makes this a special experience! The breakfast is amazing and offers just about anything you might want. Take time to notice the impressive building and all its glorious details. We did not experience the “kick back” evening drinks and light dinner fare. We were each given 3drink tickets for the day. If I were staying for a vacation, I would definitely enjoy this perk. Almost anything you could need is in easy walking distance. I highly recommend this hotel! K Brown"

"The hotel is old, that’s part of the charm. The rooms are large, outdated and also charming. It’s a vibe. We could have paid similar for a newer hotel but would lose out on the location, the pool, and the amazing staff. I will return to San Antonio and I will always stay at the Menger."

"We had a great stay and really enjoyed the property. The room was nice, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. My only wish is that there was better handicap accessibility to the pool and lazy river. One of the staff members was kind enough to drive us in a golf cart from our room to the sidewalk, which we really appreciated, but we still had quite a distance to walk from there. Traveling with someone who uses a walker made that part difficult. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again, but improved accessibility to the pool area would make the experience even better for guests with mobility challenges."
