"The staff (front desk, restaurant, bar) were all excellent. Friendly, professional, willing to go the extra step. The food I had (two breakfasts, two lunches) was very good; fresh and well presented. What was far less appealing was the property itself. It's an historic building but for some reason management has decided to run with a "hip/moody/verging on bordello" vibe. Beginning with the elevator, on thru the halls and into the room I occupied, the lighting was almost nonexistent. This was particularly annoying in my room. While the entire place may be antiseptically clean, this low lighting and dark colors and some needs-replacing drapery and upholstery, makes it feel like it needs cleaning. "

"While this hotel is priced at the high end, general condition and location are major plus points. Staff are friendly without being over the top. Food was good and priced reasonably. Would encourage people who stay in the hotel to wander around the as endless photos and hidden discoveries to pass the time."

"Room was lovely comfortable bed and pillows shower and bath. Coffee machine was great. Breakfast very good and food in hotel restaurant very good. Good location once we got our bearings near to the market. Would I stay again absolutely for the right price."
