"A wonderful Manor House with views and trees, birds and big Wiltshire skies. Perfect room with an enormous comfortable sleigh bed, sofa and spotless bathroom. Wendy is a perfect host and was so caring of us. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully laid out on a large dining table. I so recomment this wonderful bed and breakfast and will definitely return some day."

"A characterful hotel in a great location. Our room was very spacious and in the old part of the hotel, full of old beams and quirky corners. Bed was large and comfortable. Lighting was a bit lacking and because we faced onto the street it was not suitable to have the blinds and curtains open. The restaurant had a great aspect facing onto the river and grounds. Breakfast was OK and fairly standard fayre, but plenty of choice and supply. Staff all very friendly and helpful Very convenient for...

"Really lovely break, room was clean and of a good standard, breakfast option excellent as was the staff. Only downside was the building works and workmen outside our window, a little unsightly and workmen very unexpected. Everything else perfect. Definitely worth a visit, in the centre of the city with everything on your doorstep."

"Loved the historical aspect of the hotel. Very convenient to the center of town and the cathedral ..The staff was excellent. The dining was very good and the courtyard and its resident cat delightful. The only I didnt like was there is no lift to get to the upper rooms…the stairs were very narrow. Summer could be a bit hot as there is no AC but that is common in Europe and the Uk. Would definitely stay again. "
