"only 4.5 miles away from the visitor center. Lovely, spacious, clean room and very comfortable beds. The host stocked up the refrigerator and provided other breakfast items generously. There were several options for dinner within a couple minutes of walks. No ac. Did not find wifi either. Everything else was perfect. We left our luggage in the hotel to visit Stonehenge. Uber is not allowed in this area. You need to arrange a taxi to go to the visitor center if you don't have a car. ...

Staff were spot on, nothing too much problem.
Building is bent and twisted with age, so not much is straight and uneven squeaky floorboard adds to the character.
Breakfast is in the bar in the morning, evening meals either in the restaurant or in the large beer garden, over looking the mill stream.
You can also have a beer sitting out the front, watching people pass on the busy town walk path,...

"Beautiful, elegant treasure right around the corner from the train station and near bus stops. Easy walk to Salisbury Cathedral and Museum. Excellent breakfast! Delicious Nepalese restaurant a few doors to the left. Lovely pub where you can safely leave your luggage and have a beer and eat pub food. Stonehenge a bus ride away! "
