"We loved our stay! From booking this property… communication with host, and arriving at the home for our Merrie Monarch week. It was AWESOME!!! We are looking forward to next year and have already booked this same property. Everything was as expected with the description on site. We were beyond comfortable and felt at home. "I would not recommend this hotel, unless there were no other decent choices. The front desk wasn't friendly or particular helpful both days we were there. Room was not great, none of us slept, roach on nightstand next to me. The reason I didn't give it lower was because of the bar restaurant. We were tired and hungry when we got in so went for the casual food in the bar area. Server was terrific, food was very good and live band playing was honestly incredible. This was the only good thing about our hotel experience. "

"Sam was amazing in making sure that we got checked in okay and that everything was great the next day. I forgot my book in the room and he even called and offered to mail it to me. Great room close to food and the beach….highly recommend!"

"We were greeted by the owner who toted our luggage in then gave us a brief tour and some helpful touring suggestions. Our room was clean and comfortable with very good beds. The large balcony area adjacent to our room was lovely. Breakfast was prompt and very tasty. Overall a very nice experience. "

"It's a little old apartment that's been cleverly well-appointed for guests, with several huge mirrors adding to a sense of spaciousness. The kitchen is small but has everything you need to cook a simple meal: a one-burner hotplate, a microwave, some kind of big toaster oven, a blender, utensils, big fridge and freezer.... With the Hilo farmer's market, the KTA supermarket and a natural food store all a one-minute walk away, we were inspired to do some cooking even though there are so many good restaurants within easy walking distance too. Everything worked. The host was very responsive. This was our second stay here and we hope to return to this, our Hilo home!"
