Clean room, good value, very friendly and accommodating staff. Our room was above the pub on a Friday and Saturday night so it was noisy until close but earplugs did the job.

Lovely hotel on the upper floor of the sports pub. Despite the noisy pub downstairs, the rooms are quiet and well isolated. Very helpful and kind personnel. Perfect location in the centre pf Ryde.
It was a nice enough place for our short trip, the room was fairly comfortable and fairly clean. Its location is brilliant, everything we needed was nearby. The staff were friendly and attentive.
Very central in Ryde with easy access to dining, shopping and public transportation.

No WiFi available - even after checking with staff,
no check-out instruction was provided and no one was available for check-out (there is no receiption),
room was very noisy,
Very good property overall. Lovely but also helpful staff showed us around the hotel, and very good area as well (short walk down the high street to the beautiful beach/pier) and lovely beds and bathroom. Very clean and would definitely recommend.
It's not a hotel. It's a pub with rooms. Loud music to 2am and i mean loud... room shaking loud. You need to be very drunk to be able to sleep while staying here. Rooms very dated. I'm sure OK during the week when quiet opening times. But do avoid during the weekends.
The room was above the pub, as such was very noisy - our family was awake at 1am with the pumping music. The bunk beds for the kids were very rickety, we had to put the upper bunk bed mattress to sleep on the floor but being such an old mattress that didn't help much, you could feel the springs through the sheet. The staff were very welcoming but the hotel isn't suitable for families.
I liked the outside of the building.
The inside was awful. Water stained ceilings.
Old smelly furniture stacked up in the corridor.
The Window was kept open with a piece of wood, I didn't know until I closed the window. I had to lift the window to close it, only for said piece of wood to fall out and nearly hit someone. Shocking.
Tha fan in the room did not have front guard on, I was unable to use it.
Bathroom had paint peeling from the skirting around the shower. Mould on the sealant.
Mattress was old and soft and uncomfortable.
Only good thing was the bedding it was clean and crisp.
I would not stay here again nor would I recommend anyone to stay here.
I do have to say, staying in a room over the bar or on the street did not bother me. Maybe I was to exhausted to notice.
Sadly not the best place for the price they charge.

Disliked: Amenities
VERY BASIC NEGLECTED ROOM WHICH WAS COLD.
CONDENSATION WAS RUNNING DOWN WINDOW.
LOTS OF OLD FURNITURE ETC STORED IN HALLWAY AREAS ON WAY TO ROOM.
GAVE THE IMPRESSION THAT IT WAS USED MORE AS A HALFWAY HOUSE - WHICH IS FINE BUT IN MY OPINION NOT SUITABLE FOR TRAVELLERS.

It was what we expected for an old pub. The showers were a bit different having dials to turn to adjust temperature and pressure. I’d stay here again it met our needs.

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
The room was big enough as I had a family room, but there were no bed side tables or lamps. Only one main light which was by the window. The bathroom had no where to put your toiletries, even the toilet roll had no holder, the shower was very small with a curtain again no where to put anything you use in the shower. It advertised breakfast and food but did neither. Very noisy at night with music. Wouldn't recommend my room for family for this reason. No good for anyone with mobility issues as a maze of up and down stairs.
So many doors and stairs to reach the room, like a maze. Felt like living in prison. Staff members didn’t like us for some reason, their facial expressions said it all. Not going to recommend anyone.
