" The food options were great and the property is just off the end of the highway. Beautiful scenary of the beach and grounds. The only problem that stood out to me is that food is not accessible after hours i.e. from 10pm to 7am."

"Truly cannot recommend this resort enough. Everyone was so kind, accommodating, and ensured our entire family had a wonderful time. From the welcome cool towel and cocktail, to making sure our glasses were full by the pool and on the beach, to stopping us on our way back to our room to make sure we had everything we needed. All of the restaurants on the resort are AMAZNG. Making the reservations was kind of a pain but so worth it. Some of the best meals our family has eaten. It never felt too crowded, and you could relax or party as much or as little as you wanted. There were some peddlers on the beach, but there were never too much of a nuisance. All around our family cannot wait for our next trip here to enjoy the luxury and experience. " This hotel is very nice an very peaceful I would recommend it for easygoing people that just want to relax .. I had zero problems the people here work very hard to keep you happy the do everything with a smile. The bars are great good staff.. the main pool is the hot spot they keep you dancing and very entertained they get the crowd going even on slow nights they know how too party .if you’re looking for very affordable hotel look no further.. The breakfast are very good just get up early to eat , the lunch and dinners are traditionally similar to any hotels .. the beaches are great cause they are just coves and they are not deep you can walk out pretty far IT’s great for lazy parents and people who can’t swim…I enjoyed the disco club the parties are really good even if it’s slow night you can get drunk and dance the night away, i think they need a sigh cause I couldn’t find it the first 4 days I was here but when I finally found it is really worth it .. room service was ok bring a fishing rod if you like to fish you can fish.. Just ask security or the staff they will get you any random things you need above an beyond service .. they keep the place very clean making sure the beach’s are well raked in the morning . They have good paddle boards and kayaks for the calmer sea days ..I had a good time from a man’s perspective .. you can go outside the resorts there’s nice karaoke bar very nice tourists are welcome no fear and just enjoy ,, the atm is just outside of the hotel "

"We stayed at FDR exactly 1 year ago and my children still bring it up every single week. The facility is very humble so if you’re looking for white walls and glass everything this is not for you. But if you want a humble quaint environment where the staff makes you feel like family give FDR a shot. My kids (11,9,5) loved the water slide and our nanny Tamara. They still talk about how much they miss her often. Shenille did the boat tours. He was so kind and gracious and took us multiple times to fish, spear fish and snorkel. He even coordinated for the chefs to cook the fish we caught for us straight from the ocean. You see the owner, Christian, often and every time he remembers you and your name and is truly invested is your experience at his hotel. The food: it was different than most all inclusive experiences in that there is a menu and it’s not a free for all buffet but that did not bother us as they are very accommodating. I have a gluten allergy and they made me a special dinner similar to my families every single meal. Everything is fresh and hot as they cook it specifically for you. We did not have a single thing we did not like. The thing about this hotel that is unlike any other is the location. The snorkeling in unmatched. Bring a mask and snorkel. We saw every single sea animal you can imagine right off the beach. Even dolphins on our last morning at breakfast. This hotel and Jamaica will forever have a piece of our hearts. "
