Richardson reminds me a lot of St Pete, FL. People are friendly, and in my opinion polite drivers. At least nicer then where I live. Only thing I noticed here is people frequently run red lights before it changes so be mindful of that.

Richardson is a nice city but as a local Texan, I know it's not the cheapest city to be in. But compared to larger newer cities, the prices are correct and expected.

"Our stay was great. The room was everything that we needed, but there are some ‘buts’:
the only way to get ice easily in from your room fridge, but it’s not easy when your ice maker doesn’t work.
Also this is a work oriented hotel. We did not get our room serviced because the maid came by at 7:45 AM, presumably after most people go to work, but it was on a Sunday and they never came back; so no service during our stay. We’re pretty tidy people; so not a huge problem for us, but others might really have an issue."
