"I was pleased with the room & the location of the hotel. The breakfasts are first class as are the bar snacks/meals. I hadn’t expected my room to be serviced everyday so to return and find my bed made, towels folded ect was a bonus. Excellent experience all round. I am considering visiting the Island with my wife in the future and will definitely be booking my stay at the Empress."

"The Penta is a nice, reasonably priced hotel across from the beach. We stayed in room 19, which is considered a ‘large twin’. We didn’t have a view, but the room was spacious,quiet, clean and well maintained. I would warn those with mobility issues that the tub is high and may be difficult to climb out. The free Breakfast was simple but it was all we needed: cereal, toast , juice, coffee and tea. Although there were only a few restaurants close by, we liked the Chinese restaurant next to the casino. The bus stop is across the street, allowing us to get all over the island without difficulty. We highly recommend the Penta. "

"We stayed here for 3 nights. Nothing to complain about. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Had two evening meals here. Quality food at a very good price. Staff friendly and helpful. Special mention for Susannah who was informative and very cheerful. "

"This is a compact and stylish modern apartment with a high standard to its finish. The living area and bedroom combine as one room but there is a separate shower/bathroom and a separate kitchen. There is everything here that you need for your stay. The garden is beautiful and we managed one sunny afternoon to sit outside and enjoy a cup of tea. Carolyn and Mark (the hosts) were very friendly and helpful but not intrusive. We were very grateful for the welcome pack too ( bread, milk, butter and a bottle of wine). Parking is on their driveway but due to the nature of the entrance/road it was best to reverse onto this. PS. The bed is amazing, comfortable and you’ll definitely get a good nights sleep. We would not hesitate to recommend this property to others. "
