"Very clean hotel. It has air conditioning and heat. Breakfast was excellent ! The only things I didn’t like are No lift to move luggage upstairs Not 24 hours check in. "The bedroom was ok, but bathroom left a lot to be desired, less than a third of a toilet roll no spare, no glasses glass or plastic to clean your teeth, bath panel cracked, toilet needs a lot of bleach in it for it to be clean, soap dispenser in shower not working. Had a shower went from nice warm water to cold. Bed was comfortable and nice white towels. Room 4 right above the bar can be noisy would we stay again? No."

Was surprised to find my room did not have a key to secure it when I went out for a meal though. "The Barleycorn is situated in the middle of a village, and it was lovely to listen to the wood pigeons burbling/cooing through the window. The rooms are not above the pub, but behind, and consequently quiet; ours was nicely furnished and the bed/mattress comfy. The owners are enthusiastic and welcoming. The main disadvantage to the location concerns traffic, such as Macdonald's lorries, that seems to race along the road: it makes finding somewhere to safely walk the dogs a little...
