"STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE The elevator did not work We stayed for 4 nights and they don’t come to change the room. At the end, they will change you for anything. The blanket had. Stain before and they wanted to charge me the whole blaket, a towel and and pillow case .. we ended paying $30US extra for nothing. This is in downtown a lot of noise"

"We had a wonderful 3nites stay at the end of April 2026. The staff were attentive and kind. The location is excellent, in front of quiet alley with several cafes. The hotel entrance may be a bit off putting, but once you walk up one flight of stairs, Sama Hotel Sherif Basha lobby awaits you behind glass doors. Newly renovated one floor hotel. Be sure to select rooms with windows on the alley side or main street side. The windows are well insulated from noise. The location is only blocks from the other Sama hotel that is in the square, which is much more noisy. So many restaurants, shops and cafes to choose right in the neighborhood. Access to Egyptian museum and the Nile river is faster on foot than Uber, due to high traffic congestion. With that said, Uber is great since it is abundant and very very affordable. We love this location and the hotel is EXCELLENT. Breakfast is limited but fresh and basic. So many eateries around that we save our tummy for the street food. Can't wait to return to Cairo. "The place was excellent—very beautiful, very clean, spacious, and comfortable—and located close to central Cairo. Excellent place around a mall and supermarket, very nice and beautiful. However, the problem was the language barrier; you really need to speak Arabic, as they never replied to my emails, and all communication took place over the phone. Fortunately, I was with my partner, who speaks Arabic; otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to communicate with them at all."

"Everything was clean and well maintained, and the entire experience felt easy and smooth from start to finish. The staff was kind, welcoming, and always helpful whenever we needed anything. The location was great and made getting around very convenient. Room service food was also really good. Overall, this was my favorite hotel during our Egypt trip and I would definitely stay here again."

"Excellent staff from arriving through the front being greeted by the friendly door staff, professional front desk to staff in the restaurants and housekeeping. Breakfast in Culina was spot on with a buffet offering a great variety. The bars have a great range of drinks both alcoholic and non. The rooms are spacious clean, they get serviced twice a day, and are left immaculate by the housekeeping. Location is good with a museum at the back of the hotel. Also a 10 minute walk to downtown shops. I will recommend this hotel to all travellers to Cairo. I would stay there again "

"I had a wonderful stay at Al Rashedy Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for great value in a central location. The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of the old city, right next to the historic Sayyidna Al-Hussein Mosque, Khan El Khallili and Al Azhar, and it was truly enjoyable hearing the lively atmosphere and sounds of the Adhan each day. My single room was very comfortable and well-equipped, including reliable free Wi-Fi. The double bed was especially cozy, with a warm down comforter and plush pillows that made for a great night’s sleep. What really made the stay stand out, though, was the exceptional staff. The front desk team was consistently friendly and welcoming. The young woman who checked me in whose name started with an “L”(sorry I forgot your name) but she always greeted guests with a warm smile, which set a positive tone throughout my stay. Ibrahim at the front desk was also very helpful and attentive whenever I had questions. Housekeeping, especially Karima, did an excellent job keeping the room clean and comfortable, adding to the overall pleasant experience. All in all, Al Rashedy Hotel offers a fantastic combination of location, comfort, and service at a very reasonable price. I would definitely stay here again. "
