"great location, very clean, no elevator which could be a problem and parking is terrible. Our rooms' fire alarm chirped all night, we tried to turn off but no success. we did not call for help b/c we didnt want maintenance coming in the middle of the night. so not sure what would have happened had we called. did alert hotel staff in the morning."

"Our stay at the Gifford House was fine. The staff were very friendly and hospitable. The room in the Annex was clean, comfortable and relatively quiet. (There's always a party downstairs but you are mostly isolated from the noise). One major complaint is that they only have internet TV and their internet signal is inadequate. Could not maintain connection on laptop or TV set. Very frustrating. Coffee offering in the lounge could be improved as well. Otherwise, a fine stay."
