"Beautiful view of Galena; historic home gave us a good feel for living well in the 1850s (except for modern conveniences); easy drive to downtown.We would not recommend this home if you need a walker, wheelchair, or other walking aids; parking in the back alley was a bit of a challenge for our mid-size SUV.Overall, we had a pleasant stay."

"We were a group of 4 couples and had the most enjoyable weekend in Galena and staying at our spacious yet cozy home. Perfect location just outside the entrance to downtown. Spacious deck to socialize, cozy and comfortable rooms and beautiful and creative decor throughout the home. The home had everything you needed and the heated floors were a bonus! Would definitely stay again. "

"Nice home in a great location - close to the river, parks and downtown. It's a perfect size for a couple or a family. Lots of comfy seating upstairs in the living room. We visited over a hot weekend in July and the AC kept us cool and comfy - such a plus. The large windows overlooking a wooded area were lovely - we remarked how pretty it must be in fall or winter too."
