"It was a lovely, authentic hotel, with marvellous staff and a fantastic breakfast which was buffet and ala carte. The staff were very helpful and on our last day they arranged for a taxi to pick us up at 6:30 a.m. and they had packed a breakfast for us to take as the dining room did not open until 7:30. That was very thoughtful of them. The location is excellent."

"This is a fabulous old style hotel brought up to date in a really good location for Ortigia. The rooftop restaurant and terrace have a beautiful view and breakfast has a very large choice and is very good. The staff are extremely attentive and all seem to have the freedom to chat to guests like human beings and not "5 star robots". A welcome change."
