"It’s such a special grand old hotel. The lookout from our balcony was like a ship porthole, offering this really great view of the waterfront and property. Breakfast was top-notch. All in, a delightful stay!"

"Das Zimmer war gut, allerdings hatte es nicht wirklich ein Fenster. Das Fenster war eine Art Notausgang, durch das man aber nicht wirklich hinausgehen konnte. Das Bett war bequem und das Frühstück o.k., wir hatten während unserer Rundreise aber deutlich bessere Frühstücke. Die Lage ist allerdings super, in ein paar Minuten zu Fuß in Ortigia und schöne Restaurants rund herum."

"Great location in historical area of Siracusa. Right across from water. Great bar and bfast. Would stay again. Love our sea view room"

"Breakfast excellent, with hot breakfast cooked to order. Staff are very friendly. Executive room was very clean."

"Room very clean, staff welcoming. Roof top terrace a bonus. 20 mins brisk walk to Ortigia. Plentiful breakfast but it would have been good to see real preserves and authentic pastries."

"This was a unique property out in the country, as part of a thoroughbred horse racing track. You could watch racing from your room. The property was clean but is generally getting tired and needs refreshing. The lobby area is noisy and that cascades down the halls and to the rooms. The pool areas are nice and well kept. The breakfast was wanting, with most items running out."

"I enjoyed four unforgettable days exploring beautiful Ortigia -staying at the Grand Hotel Ortigia, which is a 5-star luxury hotel overlooking the harbor. It is just a short stroll to the must-see landmarks such as the ruins of the Temple of Apollo, the Aretusa Fountain, and the renowned Cathedral of Syracuse. it was built in 1890 and was completely renovated while preserving its classic old-world charm with marble floors, Corinthian columns, and beautiful art-filled common areas. They have an...

"Very noisy. Overlooking busy street with seemingly no noise insulation whatsoever."

"Really nice place in the heart of Ortigia. Everyone super helpful. I recommend to book online for the puppet show."

"It’s a beautiful property. It is about a 10-15 minute drive to downtown Siracusa/Ortigia. It has 2 large pools. The Restaurant at the resort is top notch and the included breakfast is the best in Sicily- absolutely incredible. The staff and owner are very nice and were very accommodating."

"Very good situation between Ortigia and Syracuse, no car needed. Modern and clean."

"Hotel manager Federico that greeted us at check in was excellent! Was very knowledgeable about the history of Ortigia and suggested things to see and do."

"Super friendly staff! The location is great - just 3 min walk to the nearest beach."

"The staff was very helpful and friendly. Although they have no parking there was plenty of free parking close by. The internet simply doesn't work. Don't count on using it on the room. You have to go to the lobby for it. The location is close enough that we walked to Ortigia and also to the archeological site. Not the prettiest site but had a good breakfast. There was a smell on the corridor/room that could be a mix of smoke or mold (couldn't identify it) but it wasn't that bad. Overall...
