"We were less than a block from the beach. Although the room was small, it was painted light and felt airy and roomy. The only downside was the shower. It was tiny, which is manageable, but the rain shower head made it so there was no place in the shower you weren't getting wet. There was not a shelf for soap or anything and the door wouldn't close. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay."

"We stayed for a long weekend and had no problems or issues at all. The guest house provided parking vouchers for £15 for 24 hour parking on most of the local streets, we parked outside the property. The room was clean and plenty big enough for two, with lots of tea and coffee provided. Everything is within 5 to 10 minutes walking distance, the pier, town, bars and restaurants. Perfect!"

"The property looked clean and presentable. The room was smaller than i expected, especially the bathroom i didnt even attempt to use the shower because it looked so cramped. We had a little trouble accessing the property at first because the email hadnt arrived with details how to input access code etc but luckily the gentleman came by and confirmed my reservation and instructed how to use the access code reader. "Was upgraded for free which as a lovely touch ☺️ room for improvement: bathroom was very small and you can hear everything from the street outside, so take earplugs if you'd be woken by bin lorries etc or if you stay on the weekend. "The Apollo is an old quaint building with a few charming quirks. It is very convenient to the train station, the pier/beach and the funky downtown area. We walked everywhere and felt safe but there was an abundance of litter on the sidewalks from both people and seagulls that tear open and scatter garbage which does not seem to get cleaned up. The proprietor was very nice and the building was secure. While the bed was comfortable, bed linens need to be upgraded. "
