The property was a good standard for the price, the owner Richard was very helpful he took me to my room and explained all the in and out of the room and helpful when I needed a taxi, and did me a very nice breakfast and he even took my case to the car for me, over all could not conplane

"The manager at the hotel is very friendly and accommodating, which made my stay enjoyable. However, during heavy winds, the noise can be quite loud and made it difficult to sleep. It would be great if some soundproofing measures could be added to improve the experience. Overall, a good stay!”

We had a great stay at a very convenient and clean hotel. The rooms are small (if you are from the US) but traditional in the UK. Richard was a great host. We could walk out the front door and up and down the shore line.

Lovely hotel

The room and service was excellent but I just dont like their shower, it is so hard to control and balance the water temperature. It could either be too cold or too hot. Overall, our stay was really nice. The staff are very welcoming and friendly.

If you are use to hotel experience this accommodation is not for you. The location is very central to local amenities and 2min walk to the beach which is great. But once you enter you are basically in your room which is clean and tidy for the price you pay.

Reception was rude and my it difficult as if the rules were carved in stone ignoring the fact we had been traveling for 20 hours and could have been more considerate and compromise We have used this hotel several times before and never before encountering a stone wall and the rules being more important then the clients well being However once he left the desk we were helped by a lady who put herself out and understood our predicament and was very accomadating

A warm, clean and safe respite from hectic London

Richard at Marine View Hotel has been a warm, welcoming and wonderful host right from the beginning, especially coming in from a rather hectic business week in London. This stay was exactly what I needed for some peace, quiet and safe space to recover from a terribly delayed onset jet lag coming from Singapore and the work week in London. I appreciate him checking on me to ensure I’m comfortable and have everything I required, as well as to respect my preference in taking precaution against covid. Other than a clean, warm, comfortable and safe environment, the accommodation is well located near the beach and walking distance to the shopping areas (local cafes, restaurants and pubs). This comes in handy, especially since I had taken a bad fall whilst in London and was trying to rest and recuperate. Marine View Hotel comes highly recommended and I will be rebooking here when I return to London in the future. (I have enjoyed my stay so much that I have also left a Google Review on Maps for others who may otherwise have reservations, or may not be using Hotels.com)

Booked a double room for the 3 of us (2 adults and an infant) for a weekend. The entrance is very tight and has only stairs so not accessible to weelchairs, it was not easy for the pram as well. The facilities described on the ad are just not there, forget the easy parking (we spent hours to find parking closed to the hotel for £18 per day making sure to don't move the car) and the marine view. The room was extremely small and very dirty with an awful view to a bad mantained back yard. The host offered us a travel cot for our baby (as per our booking) but immediately took back the offer as the room was way to small to place it so we ended up using the cot of our pram placing it on top of the table securing it with a chair ending up on surveilling the cot without having a proper sleep. It was complimentary the usual kettle and small assortment of tea and soluble coffee which we used the first morning but not able to use the second day as somone forgot to replace the cups. Unfortunately there is no opportunity to add any pic to this review to show the condition of the room and of the view as we took some once we arrived. Positive points: 1 The bed linen were clean 2 The host was very friendly 3 The location very central and close to the beach Unfortunately not enough to book here again!
