"We have stayed at this hotel over half a dozen times and have always found it comfortable and clean. We always request a low floor room and when we first booked about 3 years ago the hotel always allocated this. The last two times we have been allocated higher floors, when asked only to be told, we are fully booked. We always book months in advance and why our request isn’t taken into consideration, I don’t know. We pay for a premium room and with better planning I am sure our request could be made."

"Excellent hotel, good location, friendly staff. Some parts a little tired, but no different to many of the hotels along the front. They are all large Victorian buildings. It was everything we expected and we weren’t disappointed. It would have been nice if reception could have alerted us before we arrived that there are extensive roadworks going on in front and to the side of the hotel. This meant that we had difficulty locating the car park which is to the rear of the hotel. The only access was down a one way street driving in the wrong direction! Ok if you know the other end is blocked, but this was our first time. "

"Friendly efficient welcome on check in. Comfortable and very clean rooms. Would have liked biscuits to go with tea and coffee! Didn’t use restaurant so can’t review that. Would return. "

"Hi we really liked the hotel , live music and atmosphere , Unfortunately we had to leave early before spending the night here due to an issue at home , however we enjoyed the day and short time in the evening."

"Big, beautiful room with views of the sea. Super friendly staff. The hotel is full of charm and character. No AC, but a fan was provided. We opened the windows and were very comfortable. Large closet, sitting areas, and a large, comfortable bed. Hairdryer and other conveniences provided. We loved it here. Beach is across the street. Everything we needed in walking distance. "
