"We had a nights stay in the grand suite or the fancy room as the receptionist put. The room was lovely and spacious with a large bathroom with a free standing bath. A comfy four poster bed lovely which aided a good night sleep. Staff were friendly and very accomodating."

"Very relaxed hotel, beautiful large rooms and extensive grounds to walk around. Close to Bovey Tracy and Haytor Rock. The staff were really helpful and professional. The restaurant was excellent and provided a superb breakfast and dinner. We did eat in the pub which is part of the hotel (Tinpickle and Rhum) but the food was cold and service was dreadful, stick to the hotel restaurant in the conservatory! Otherwise a beautiful hotel to stay in in Dartmoor."
