"Our party of 6 enjoyed our stay at this cute little cabin right on the Catawba River. We had plenty of room with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed. There were plenty of linens. The little screened porch with the fire pit table was a great place to sit and relax. We appreciated the easy check-in, but check-out even more. There was no long list of chores that had to be completed before we left. We had a hearty breakfast from Bessie’s Diner and Blanton House was amazing."

"Easy check in. Facility needs some renovation but is clean. I really appreciate the smoking gazebo. Air conditioning is dated. Altogether 8.5 out of 10. "

"The owners/proprietors/managers are the BEST ever. Friendly, hospitable, check-in super easy, rooms are clean, and honestly, we sat out by the fire and felt like we had been friends with them for an eternity. I have no doubt that we will return. "

"Overall the stay was excellent and we as a family or just myself plan to come back as the location is perfect for our desires between hiking really close by and places to eat or go grocery shopping. The only suggestion I have is for breakfast to have fruit as an option for breakfast. The amount of carbs and sugar options really needs something like fruit to balance it out for breakfast for us who are health conscious."

After a long day of hiking, coming back to the outdoor space—with its fireplace and hot tub—was the ultimate way to relax.Inside, the home is thoughtfully stocked with everything you might need (or may have forgotten), making it feel like a true home away from home. The decor is unique, inviting, and full of personality. We brought our dog along, and were pleasantly surprised to find pup-friendly touches like dog beds, towels, and waste bags ready for use.The location is ideal—just minutes from wineries, great hikes, and quaint, delicious restaurants. Plus, there are so many amenities on the property we didn’t even have time to enjoy fully: pickleball and tennis courts, a peaceful river with kayaks and paddleboards… it really is an all-in-one retreat.We’re already planning our next stay—this place is a gem!"

"First the property was as represented -- this has not always been my experience. It is not exactly close to anything, but then not that far from lots of stuff. We fished in Tenn, one hour; Grandfather Mt, 30 min; Blowing Rock about an hours; drive on Parkway, 10 min.; Little Switzerland, 30 minutes; ate at Louise's Rockhouse, 15 minutes. With gate fell secure leaving stuff at the house when away. Definitely consider renting again."
