"The hotel was ok but the floorboards in the bedrooms creaked badly, breakfast wasn’t served until 8am at the weekend. We wouldn’t stay at this hotel again it’s not value for money."

"Booked a deluxe single room and it was a substandard double. Not everyone would be happy with a double bed when booked single. Instructions were to message if arriving after 4pm. I didn't know an exact arrival time, however they asked for my mobile and time again, so could provide self checkin, so gave estimated arrival and mobile, then they didn't respond. On arrival it says ring both bells but nobody came for few minutes then sounded impatient as expected me to just walk in! Had to pre-book breakfast for both days at start. Told breakfast 8-9am, but still being set out at 8.15 on first day. Was not told how it worked so just had to work it out. Terrible hosting. Scrambled eggs had brown flecks through it day 1 and was more like fried beaten up eggs on day 2 with dark brown base. Both days was only luke warm. On day 2 cooked food arrived before I'd hardly started my cereal. I wasn't happy with my room either, very dusty, orange pips on the floor, a half drunk bottle bottle of drink in the bottle cooler, out of date UHT milk, no biscuits as shown in the photos, no mirror in the bathroom just fittings for one, shower head didn't fit in the holder properly and fell on me twice, shower temperature control did not work so too hot, (I tried turning it both ways!), extension socket from an extension sockets (how did that pass safety check?), one window had no closure and not a decent lock on door so concerned for my safety especially as all single glazed. Room scruffy "

"Location was excellent, with easy access to everything I needed. The host was genuinely helpful and kind, which made the stay much smoother. The room was very clean and comfortable, and I enjoyed my time there. There was also a pleasant garden in front of the room, which was a great spot to relax, especially if you want to step outside for a smoke."

"Lovely hotel. Warm welcome on arrival. Very clean hotel. Room was big, bed was super comfy and bathroom was lovely. Unfortunately we had water issues in our bathroom where the tap and shower had barely any water and couldn’t even flush the toilet. Staff were responsive but unfortunately we were in a rush for a wedding so did not have time to move rooms."
