"This was a lovely place to stay, and very good value with breakfast included. Dorchester on Thames is a very quiet village on the edge of the Cotswolds - something you may well appreciate if you venture into the tourist hotspots! All the staff were brilliant and really helpful. Breakfast was outstanding and cooked to order (with plenty of cereal, fruit, yoghurt and preserves available too.) Room was a really good size, comfortable (if perhaps a little frayed around the edges) Decent food in the restaurant and some lovely ales in the bar. Oh, and free parking (in their car park and on the street outside) Beware though if you’re rather tall like me…people were a bit shorter in the 17th century and you’ll need to remember to duck!!"

"We had problems with the heater and air conditioning in the room not working. The staff came to try to fix it but were not successful. We had a bad nights sleep due to how hot it was in the room. The tub was also clogged and caused us to stand in 4 inches of water during our shower. I asked the manager(Xelyzaveta) if they could give us a discount due to these issues. She said they could not since it was booked through Expedia. She said that we should contact Expedia and they would process the discount for these issues. Is this the right place to request the refund?"

"Excellent room with very good mattress, very good shower, and very good heating. Had nice seating outside for the warmer weather. We had a bad experience with one of the waiters in the restaurant where it took 25 minutes to get our order taken after sitting down and 55 minutes before finally getting the food. Being a small village there was not really an option to go elsewhere. We normally stay in Henley where there are lots of good restaurants "

We had such a peaceful and relaxing stay, exactly the proper switch-off time we needed. It’s also wonderfully close to Oxford if you’re looking for a bit of sightseeing or a more social day out.
