Pelee Island Escape - Waterfront Sunset Views

Nothing beats watching magical sunsets over the lake from the three-seasons porch of our beautiful, cozy, waterfront home. Enjoy the expansive backyard with loads of open greenery, sun and shade. Sit by fire pit or BBQ by the private rear patio. Or cuddle up in front of our propane fireplace in cooler seasons.

Our Pelee escape is an easy walk from the ferry, bicycle/e-bike/golf cart rentals, LCBO, ice cream shop, top island restaurants and gift shops, the famous winery, and nature trails.

The house was clean and well equipped. The BBQ needed to be cleaned. Doesn’t septic take septic friendly tissue? There doesn’t appear to be a way to contact the owner because I believe we left a Bose wireless speaker on the couch next to the kitchen.

Lovely hetaway

The property is exactly as described and the host went out of their way to help make our stay more comfortable. Example: replaced a broken coffee maker, provided extra wood, provided linens. They were very responsive. One thing that I would mention is that the renter is responsible for disposing of the garbage and recycling. In our case this meant transporting garbage back to the mainland in our vehicle because the transport station was not open before our ferry boarding time. The garbage included used toilet paper as you were not allowed to flush it. We were told this was common on the island but we still found this a bit distasteful. Other than that, our stay was peaceful and very comfortable. The hosts are very helpful and the property is quaint, clean and well equiped.

Gorgeous and comfortable spot!

What a peaceful, beautiful place. Host was amazing and helpful, house is really nicely furnished and thoughtfully set up. That porch is a dreamy place to relax and watch the lake.

Very nice and comfortable

From the moment we entered the house we were very impressed with the look, the finishes and the amenities. The veranda was a big hit and the sunsets were spectacular. We didn’t lack anything and there was information available on what to do and what to see on the island and in the region.the hosts were very helpful, answering our questions and guiding us through our stay. Highly recommend.

Beautiful cottage

The cottage is immaculate and located just a few minutes walk from the ferry dock. I enjoyed the very private back deck and yard and also watching the ferry come and go from the front porch. Great sunsets too. Hosts very eager to help, including with a slow leak in one of my car tires. Definitely planning to stay again soon.

Great getaway

We had a wonderful 3 days! The cottage was excellent - clean, spacious, fully equipped (inside & outside with patio, BBQ & pot belly chemenay) and ideally located. We caught at least one beautiful sunset through the clouds. Weather turned out to be perfect for cycling and hiking to the Lighthouse, Fishtail Point and the Wine Pavillion. Highly recommended!!! Thanks to ( Erika) John & Randee.

Perfect island stay with beautiful sunset views.

The Pelee Island Escape II was the perfect spot for our little honeymoon. Location was amazing, being close to the ferry. The highlight was the screened in front porch which had breathtaking views of the sunset! We spent a lot of time there-coffee in the morning, wine in the evening. The cottage was very clean, spacious and updated, it had everything we needed. Definitely would recommend this place and would love to come back! A very relaxing stay!

Pelee Island Escape

We loved the cottage and the setting. The owner was very accommodating and communicative. The cottage is very comfortable with style. It is close to the ferry and pub restaurant ,tourist info, museum and a wonderful art shop.

Breathtaking Sunsets, Most Relaxing Vacation

Our stay was probably one of the most relaxing trips we've taken (besides an all inclusive where obviously no cooking, cleaning is involved etc..) Location is within a couple of minutes of walk to restaurants, lcbo, winery and the ferry dock. The main public beach is about a 5 minute drive by car and it is absolutely beautiful. Water is super clean and usually calm on the beach side of the island which makes it perfect for swimming, kayaking etc. The sunsets from the rental properly are probably some of the most beautiful you will ever see.

Island Life at its Best

Great location for the ferry terminal, walking to pubs, restaurants and the winery. Bike rentals made getting about easy. Only disappointment was water/beach access...not this property by overall island.
