"This place was such a disappointment. Should be closed down during renovation as have Travelodge opposite. Not clean, dust and dbrus everywhere. Builders in lifts and corridors while getting to and from rooms. A shambles. Residents bar closed at 10pm ! We went across road for late drink and they closed at 12. Breakfast was cold, dry, rubber eggs cold. Bread for toast was damp and the thinnest bread I have ever seen. No way will we return at least for next 5 years which will be how long it takes to make it decent. Shame, once the jewel of Scarborough!!"

"The room was spotlessly clean and the decorations were luxurious and homely, I would have liked a firmer mattress. Simon was very helpful, we enjoyed the filter coffee machine, and there was a great selection of teas to choose from. Across the road Bella Rosa was a great option for breakfast, Parking at weekends starts at 12 noon and finishes at 5pm, you can buy an all day permit from reception for only £1.50, we did not need this as I have a blue badge, we were visiting friends so never needed to use a parking permit. The property is well positioned for all the attractions and amenities,"

"Great location for both centre of Scarborough and also to the dog accessible beach. Rooms were very nice and modern. Rain capes and fan were provided which was excellent. The longe area was very nice too - great hotel fit staying with dog"

"We had a lovely 2 night stay in the Lockton 6 apartment. Brilliant location right on the beach very handy as i had young kids and family members with mobility issues with me. Was great for nipping back to get a change of clothes or snacks. The apartment and location ticked all our boxes and staff were friendly. The on site parking was great. The apartment itself had everything we needed pots, pans, dishes cutlery,dishwasher iron/board, hoover, ensuite in each room, spa bath in master bedroom, washer dryer definitely a plus after spending time on the sandy beach. Our apartment had amazing veiws sitting on the balcony to take it all in. My husband enjoyed using the in house gym. Local Onestop had all we needed for our self catering stay & very reasonably priced. We didnt eat at the nearby restaurants/Cafes as they dont cater for halal diets but a quick google search showed a halal fish & chip shop only a 4 minute drive away- Scarborough Fish and Chips. We had a halal takeaway from The Food Shack the night we arrived. Lots of nearby dessert/ice cream places too. Was our 1st time visiting Scarborough and it did not disappoint. We've recommended The Sands Apartments to family and friends. The location on the quieter North Bay was ideal for us. Only a short drive to the more busier South Bay with the usual seaside attractions to enjoy. There's local parks within walking distance. We were lucky the weather was nice for us rained on the morning we checked out. "
