"Room was small but clean a fan was provided would have liked air conditioning. Staff were very helpful and gave us a ground floor room we would use this hotel again there is noise from underground but it didn’t bother us"

"I stayed there with my son and we liked the hotel—it was clean and very high-tech. However, be careful: if you don't want your room cleaned, simply indicating that preference isn't enough; you have to leave your key card inserted in the slot inside the room (something we didn't know). As a result, staff entered to clean and handled our underwear and sleepwear, tossing them onto our suitcases; they even put the TV remote inside the closet on top of my clothes, whereas it’s usually left on the bed. This really upset me, and when I complained, their response was simply that at least the bed had been made—they didn't care about our discomfort. There is no laundry facility on-site, but there is one just around the corner. It is close to public transport and a 24-hour supermarket (TIP: everything is cheaper at the corner shop). The breakfast is excellent. You can feel the trains passing by, but the sensation is minimal and not at all bothersome. The A/C works perfectly. The bathroom is spacious. I recommend it and would stay there again, now that I know what I’ve shared here."

"Check-in process was slow and staff checked in guests who elected not to queue up like everyone else! We tried to get a trolley for our bags to check out from the luggage desk staff, but were told that we had to make the request via phone, from our room. Returned to the room, and the phone didn’t work. Went and found another staff member who was unable to help us and ended up having to go to the front desk to make arrangements. Really disappointing as the front desk advised that the request can be done from the luggage desk and asked why I went to them! This run around took over 1/2 hr and resulted in us missing our train!!! We have stayed there a number of times before due the location."

"Our family of five recently spent a week in London at the Hilton London Metropole. We had a fabulous time! Amir helpfully emailed with us before our trip. Omar was friendly and helpful throughout our stay, The breakfast was delicious and well worth the extra money! Vasimin oversaw each morning's delicious breakfast and was friendly and kind every day! This hotel is conveniently located near bus stops and tube stations making travel about the city easy. Our family of 5 including 3 teenagers had plenty of room in the Family Room. I would definitely stay here again."

"Staff are really friendly and helpful. It was no problem to leave my suitcase and pick it up later. Room was basic - as advertised - but excellent for the price. Had a balcony overlooking Sussex Gardens street. The bathrooms are shared, and quite small, but clean, new and fully functional. I will stay here again."
