"I showed up two hours early and it was a holiday and the staff were still there and ready to check me in. Place was clean, spacious, tons of patio space and a restaurant plus there was no one else there so it was like a villa to myself. Watch out for falling mangos, other than that, slice of paradise within paradise"

"My family & I loved our time at Novels Villa. It was right on the beach and had beautiful views. The sunrises & sunsets were picture perfect, gorgeous.The location was very convenient-within walking distance to restaurants, shops, grocery stores & bars. The house was fabulous-very clean with lots of towels (bath, hand & wash cloths). It had all the appliances we needed plus a well stocked kitchen. The bathroom showers were modern with great water pressure.Our local host quickly responded to our questions & when needed, were on site wishing 30 minutes. They were very gracious & couldn’t have made us feel more welcome. The only improvement I can think of would be if the outside shower has more water pressure. We loved Novels Villa & would definitely come back."

"The two-story apartment is right on a beautiful/swimmable beach. Short walk by beach or street to all the great restaurants and bars, but not too close where you can hear all the noise. Clean and spacious. Loved the morning visits from the local beach pup. We'd come back for sure!"

"The apartment was lovely and well-appointed, with nice kitchen appliances and floor-to-ceiling sliding doors opening to the bay. The refrigerator has a manual water dispenser which we filled with bottled water and used constantly. Tapwater is desalinated and OK to drink. Drip and pod coffeemakers.The bedroom had lots of dresser/wardrobe space, and double-glass sliding doors on the balcony overlooking the main road kept traffic noise down. Large bathroom with tiled shower stall and clothes washer was an unexpected perk. A multi-outlet extension cord was provided for U.S. appliances (laptop/cellphone/etc). Julia was a great host, giving us an extensive walk-through of the apartment and providing helpful tips and recommendations. Beach is as beautiful as always, and many great restaurants and boutiques are steps away, although you have to walk about a 1/4 mile into town along a perpetually busy street (unless you walk on the beach, which is a better option). Grand Case is still rebuilding, with many empty lots or shells post-hurricane, but it's still vibrant. The residence has direct access to the beach, with a large patio and basins to wash off before entering the building. We had a car and drove 1.5 mi to the "Super-U" supermarket for groceries, and to other parts of the island like Anse Marcel, Orient Beach and Oyster Pond for wonderful hikes to hidden beaches. If you're just wanting to eat well and enjoy the beach steps from your home you can easily forgo the car."

"This is fantastic spot on SXM. Walk to awesome beaches - Friars annd Happy, around the corner (20 min) from Grand Case and beautifully situated for the evening sunset.The villa was well laid out, both bedrooms were of equal form and function. Kitchen had everything you needed. We loved outdoor dining overlooking the pool.The turtles and visiting iguanas were welcome guests.Thanks!"

"Home is beautifully prepared for guests. Judith is skilled with practical esthetics making for a peaceful stay with everything you need artfully arranged. It’s a wonderful vibe to base a vacation from. She was very helpful with our daily plans, including local directions and travel times to arrive on time for early morning outings. Nice snacks provided on arrival and kitchen has everything you need. We had some technical challenges during our stay but Judith did everything she could about them, such is life. It feels like a lovely friend had prepared their home for a stay."
