Dante Design Apartment by Wonderful Italy

Recently renovated apartment a few steps away from the historic neighborhood of Zisa, right in the heart of Palermo.

The apartment, located on the second floor comfortably reachable with an elevator, opens onto an hallway along which the rooms are located. The living area comes with a sitting room with a dining table, a comfortable sofa and a TV, and an independent kitchen with a breakfast bar table, equipped with all facilities including an oven, a dishwasher and a kettle. The sleeping area consists of two bedrooms, fitted with a queen-size bed each, one of which provided with a bridge wardrobe and with access to a balcony, while the other one furnished with a dresser. A bathroom with a shower completes the layout. At guests’ disposal there will be amenities such as the air conditioning in every room, the heat pump and the free wi-fi, perfect for working from home.

Palermo, one of the most beautiful cities of art in the country and the capital of Sicily, offers plenty of wonderful UNESCO heritage sites that can be visited in the four historic districts of the city. In this regard, tourists can take part in the "Baroque itinerary of Palermo' to visit the main monuments of the city, such as the Church of the Holy Savior, the Church of Santa Maria del Monte Oliveto and the Church of the Conception. The city also offers the opportunity to participate in the "Tour of the Historical Markets of Palermo' which will allow guests to explore the markets of Ballarò and Capo. It doesn’t matter if it’s lunch or snack time, it is strictly required to taste the dishes with your hands only! This tour will also give tourists the opportunity to admire prominent buildings, streets and squares.

Palermo central station is 3,5 km away from the apartment, while Palermo Falcone e Borsellino airport is a 30-minute drive away.

Not ideal with young kids

Our stay had a few challenges. The host was two hours late for check-in. The kitchen had only very basic utensils and lacked essentials like salt and oil, making cooking more difficult. Additionally, the floor was dirty upon arrival, and with no mop provided, we couldn’t clean it ourselves. The location was not ideal for families with young children—it’s over a 20-minute walk to most attractions, which felt too far when managing little ones. Another issue was the shower, which blocked after just two days. While the host sent someone to fix it, it clogged again shortly after. The house is also very echoey, which made it especially noisy with our kids. On the plus side, the house is spacious and didn’t have any unpleasant smells. The neighborhood is located near schools and universities, offering a good glimpse into local life, which we enjoyed. However, given the challenges we faced, especially with kids, we found the stay less comfortable than expected.

Leiter hatten wir an unserem Ankunftstag 02.10. und am Morgen des 03.10.2023 kein warmes Wasser. Die Agentur hat dies behoben. Im großen Schlafzimmer hing die Steckdose aus der Wand am Bett. Leider wurde das nicht behoben obwohl wir darauf aufmerksam gemacht haben. Die Klimaanlage in diesem Schlafzimmer kühlte nicht richtig. Ansonsten war das Apartment sehr schön
