"You can’t beat the location of Kumpeli! Absolutely beautiful views of the river! The new owners have made some excellent changes. The spa was great before, small but very pleasant, now with the addition of the fabulous terrace with sunchairs and direct access to the river. The lobby is so much more inviting and service very friendly and efficient. Of course the rooms could do with some updating but they are very clean. Do get a room facing the river though…Really looking forward to going again...

"We stayed at the new section of the hotel called the loft. Our room was fabulous - large and well decorated with ample cupboard space and a comfortable sitting area. Breakfast was copious with a considerable variety of choice. The staff however was not up to par. They did not give us a key to enter the hotel from the garage which caused us some difficultly when we arrived; they failed to tell us we needed to make a reservation to use the sauna; and they forgot to have our room cleaned.
