"WOW!! I rented a cabin on the ocean side of the hotel, and it was WONDERFUL hearing the ocean crashing from my bed each morning and evening. I live in Guatemala, so my standards for facilities have been affected accordingly. This is a beach cabin with a thatch roof and you CAN SEE through the cracks on the floorboards. This area of Guatemala is HOT all year round, but there is a fan in the cabin which helps immensely. The bathroom was not fancy, and you could see the ground beneath the shower...

"We had a nice time with my family at Cocori lodge. They have an amazing location and view right on the beach and lots of fun things to do while there. The pool is great to cool off in. Food and drink service was a bit slow at times but overall a great time and I’d go back. Recommend the Coco Locos"

"The setting is spectacular with million dollar views of the Pacific and seasonally the setting sun. Unfortunately, it is necessary to balance the aesthetics with a concern for safety. The huts are made of highly combustible thatched palm leaves. Unaccountably management permits smoking in adjacent public areas, even providing ashtrays. This is probably in violation of national law, certainly offensive to the 85% of people who do not smoke, and creates a headline waiting to be written about...

"An absolute highlight of our trip, I could not recommend Marabella eco lodge more. The staff were helpful and friendly, the food was incredible, and the beach was right at the door step. We loved meeting Marta Elena, the cat, and Ginger, the dog, apparently there was another cat we weren’t lucky enough to meet. Only a short walk down the beach brings you to Cecon, a nature reserve where you can see iguanas, turtles, and crocodiles where they are looked after by some amazing volunteers before...

"Staff was very friendly and helpful; had trouble with expedia getting the specific accommodations we wanted but hotel staff changed to better situation once we arrived; comfortable atmosphere; nice pool and patio area; Guatemalan dishes in restaurant were great, other food less so. Very close to the various amusement parks. Overall very pleased and would recommend"
