"The hotel was so close to downtown Manteo. The town had excellent dining options and shopping. And the neighborhood around the hotel was great for taking a walk. "
"I’ve stay here twice. It is a perfect couples romantic getaway. Our only issue was our tv remote volume didn’t work properly. It was never fixed during our stay. Since there is no one on site at all times there is a possibility if something comes up they may not correct it in a timely manner."

Dolphin Oceanfront Motel
10/10 Excellent
"Second time staying here, just as amazing as last year! Peaceful atmosphere. Breezeway that goes right out to the beach, pet friendly(we brought our dog), access to sidewalk if you want to walk or ride your bike to restaurants or places nearby, and a 7/11 that’s a 1 minute drive away if you need anything that’s not offered by the motel. Jim (the owner) is a very accommodating person and hard worker. We appreciated his hospitality greatly. "
"The space worked well for our family of 17. Kitchen is well stocked. An extra bath towel would have been nice but having a washer and dryer helped. The bunk beds are best for preteen and under so the 2 teens that slept on them were a little cramped. There were some boards on top deck that were loose and a few rusty nails on second deck but overall a great place. Loved the private walkway, pool, hot tub, and rec room. James responded quickly to all my texts. We left happy and content. "
Pompous Pelican: Luxury Oceanfront Escape - 6 BR/6 BA - Breathtaking Views & Hot
10/10 Excellent
"The house was beautiful and right on the beach. There was plenty of room for everyone. Plenty of parking available. Wonderful views from every window in the main living area. Lots of balcony space and chairs. We all had enough space and the beach itself was never crowded. We would definitely stay here again. "
"We vacationed for a week in OBX in Tangerine Dreams. This Outer Banks beach house is an original bungalow home. It sits behind a dune, but has a walkway to access the beach, directly behind the home. The house itself has all new LVP flooring throughout, an updated bathroom, all stainless steel appliances in kitchen, to include a full size refrigerator. Every bedroom now has a flat screen TV hung from the wall, plus one in main living area. We were able to cook meals without any issue with all kitchenware that is provided. We enjoyed much family time playing games we brought at the kitchen table when it rained one afternoon, while looking out the 3 windows in that area of the weather outside. There is also an outdoor shower and toilet, which are also all new. And super convenient. The location is convenient to get to Manteo or Hatteras areas, and is a nice trip to get to northern areas of beach, for restaurants and shopping. Jenette's Pier is about 2ish miles up the road as is one of our faves Sam and Omies. Fishheads Restaurant on the Outer Banks pier is about a mile up the road, an easy walk on the paved exercise trails. The owner is super responsive. We discovered a GFI outlet in bathroom was not working and he came and fixed it promptly. We also obtained earlier access to the house, than the late afternoon check in time, once the cleaners came through and finished. That was so nice and convenient! We only have positives to share! This was a wonderful stay, a hidden gem!"
