"Clean, quiet, and rustic charm. Grounds were beautiful. Shout out to the older lady working at the buffet - such a happy person with a tremendous big smile. Loved her energy. The included breakfast was a full buffet with a ton of options.

"My wife and I were doing a meandering drive from Ottawa to Montreal. We made a last-minute decision to stay here, grabbing the last room available. We knew it was a remote location, so our expectations were not high.
Owner Dominic, however, has created a jewel along the Ontario side of the Ottawa River that I highly recommend for lodging and, more importantly, the food!
The property used to be solely a restaurant, but post-pandemic, Dominic and his brother decided to turn the third generation...
"We stayed in the Business suite in the apartment building which is connected to the main British Hotel building. The Suite was super spacious and clean. Easy self check in and out. Parking available on the street and local lots. "

"The location of the hotel is excellent, just a short walk from the lake, which made it easy to enjoy the surrounding area. However, the bathroom facilities are quite dated, and the toilet is very low, which may be uncomfortable for some guests. Breakfast was rather simple and lacked variety."
"Friendly, hardworking owners. The room was very clean. Bed was comfortable (pillows not so much). While in the area I would definitely stay again (and pack my own pillow). About a 5 min drive to downtown historic Perth."
"I enjoyed my stay even though it is not a 5 ⭐️ hotel. I was weary at first because the room was so cheap! All I needed was a clean quiet room and they delivered. I must mention that the young man who checked me in was absolutely courteous and nice. Will definitely be back! "
