The hotel was in a great location; off the main road and close to old town and the train station. We will choose this location again on our next Lucerne trip. "

"Our stay here was virtually perfect. The hotel has all the right amenities and then some. There is something incredibly comfortable in the room which makes it one of the best stays we've ever had in Europe as a whole. Pros: - historic but very well renovated - great AC - perfect location - lake views are incredible - staff is great - daily chocolate treats were a unique surprise - incredible bathroom (private toilet, double sink, great water flow, waterfall shower, great quality shampoo/conditioner/soap) - international outlet adapter, USB c outlets by the bed - perfect blackout shades - perfectly quiet rooms, especially with the windows closed - awesome historical artifacts in the room Cons: - it was a shame that our reservation didn't include breakfast. Maybe it was related to Expedia itself though since it seems strange that such an expensive hotel wouldn't have that by default. "

"This was a rather affordable place to stay, which is ideally located to the city center and had all the amenities necessary for a family, including parking secured behind a gate for a reasonable price. I would stay here again with my family. "

"I read all the reviews (after booking with no cancellation!!) and was pretty nervous about my stay. However I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, beds fresh, towels changed daily, bathrooms were easily accessible and private. There were block out external blinds, fans for the heat and no noise. This is simple accommodation, you’re not paying a fortune to stay. Yes - it is different to an hotel and the neighbourhood is in the centre of the city. So that comes with a multitude of characters passing by. However it is also close to all the attractions and easy to access public transport. The hotel staff were lovely and helpful. Guests should bring $20chf to pay a key deposit - this is returned immediately upon your departure. Luzern is a beautiful city ready to be explored!"

"Beautiful historic building with the most amazing location and view in Lucerne- right in the heart of old town! We couldn't get enough of the view of Jesuitkirche across the river and the chapel bridge from our private balcony. This was absolutely worth the money and we had a wonderful stay!"
