"This was an amazing place. The view and architecture were gorgeous. It was in the middle of a market/the Spice Bazaar which was a little overwhelming upon immediately arriving. However, I would recommend this place 100%. Such a great central location. The staff and hotel itself were amazing. Very comfortable and gorgeous architecture. The view from breakfast on the rooftop was incredible."

"The Amanda’s location within the old city walls makes it ideal for visiting the main attractions besides being close to the sea front and promenade.We loved the charms of the 1950’s furnishings and fittings including photographs and other artefacts depicting Istanbul’s history. Our room was extremely comfortable with lovely pristine bedding and beautiful towels. The friendly reception staff gave us great advice about how to see all the sights on our list. We also loved the rooftop terrace where we enjoyed breakfast with a great views of the sea and Blue Mosque - only topped at night when the Blue Mosque is magically transformed by lightning. The evening menu has lots of choice at a reasonable price while the range at breakfast includes a mix of traditional local foods. If we return to Istanbul the Armada Hotel will be our first choice to book."

"The room was excellent and was clean. One suggestion would be to provide at least two pillows per person (so a double bed would have four and a single would have two). All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is super convenient with the two main mosques (Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque) being about 7-10 minutes walk. The tram is also very close. The breakfast provided was good but could benefit from having a fresh juice station (it was a diluted offering) and a better hot beverages machine (the cappuccino and lattes were not great)."
