Perfect location for a short stay to learn about the old town. Staff are extremely helpful and kind to suggest what and where to visit for our short stay Room was big and clean breakfast was great. Definitely will stay here again at our next longer visit.

You couldn't ask for a better location! It's less than 10 minutes on foot to Sultanahmet, and surrounded by amazing kebab spots just a minute or two away. Having the T1 tram station so close by made getting around super easy.

I had first stayed here in 2007, and again in 2026. Wonderful staff, nice rooms, great breakfast. Very comfortable and the hotel evokes a quiet, elegant earlier time. Beautiful wood carvings instead of run of the mill glass and polished stone and seen in every other hotel these days.

Sultanhan hotel is located in the central district of Sultanahmet area. It is very near the metro and historical buildings. Location is quiet and hotel is historic but maintained. Breakfast is great with good view on rooftop of hotel. Well recommended to first time travelers of Istanbul.

The hotel is perfectly situated to explore The Blue Mosque, Topkapi Pakace and Hagia Sophia on foot. The T1 tram is only a few minutes walk which takes you out to Dolmabahce Palace. The breakfast is delicious with plenty of choice for all tastes. The staff are courteous and helpful. I'd recommend this hotel to all folk wanting to explore Istanbul on foot or by public transport.
