"Couldn't ask for any better. Very helpful staff and an excellent hotel well located in the heart of Kyoto."

"清潔でシャンプー類が選べて快適に過ごすことができました。"

"家内が街を散策中に転倒して骨折しましたが、スタッフの皆さんが救急病院に連絡を取ったり、冷やすための氷や車椅子など準備してくれたりして非常に親切にして頂きました。朝食時も皆さんからお声がけくださり、大変でしたが気持ちよく過ごすことができました。怪我が回復したら再度泊りに行きたいと思います。"

"Staff was very helpful let me check in early due to rooms being already cleaned so we could drop off our bags. When leaving after check out let us keep our bags there at the office while we continued to explore the city. Great place to stay room was very nice 10/10 would recommend and definitely coming back!"

"I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. A note for Americans and Europeans--this is a Japanese business-style hotel. It is small and functional and perfect as such. It is not a big resort hotel. It is not a spacious room for you to spread out in. It is functional and perfect for those who are there to enjoy the place and not the hotel itself. The hotel is wonderful and the staff are extremely nice. They are helpful with recommendations and holding luggage and very accommodating. The beds are a...

"３回目の利用でした。 いつも気持ちよく利用させてもらってます。 西院という立地で駐車場も安価で安心して利用できます。 併設のジムの大浴場も毎回利用させてもらいました。 また利用したいと思います。"

"Stayed in the room with a private bath, and its own interior water feature/mineral water stream. Possibly the best room(s - it was more of a suite) I’ve ever stayed in. Clean tatami mats, lovely meal, great private bath - we spent a lot of our visit just sitting next to the small waterfall/stream and reading."

"Lovely Japanese-style hotel with every amenity you could want: free coffee, onsen, laundry, robes, etc… Spacious, clean rooms. Loved the massage I booked! (As a side note: restaurants in the area close very early. We arrived after 7 pm and had no dining options. Apparently there is dining at the hotel restaurant if you book it as a package? We didn’t add it at the time of booking so we were left with dinner options from the mini mart across the street. Word to the wise. )"

"Our room was clean and spacious. Finding it was a challenge for the local cab driver. The breakfast was just breads but I enjoyed the mugwort rolls! I’d recommend that they add a washer/dryer to some rooms. Also, the sleeping clothes were a little worn. Mine was missing an important button. The staff were friendly but it could be hard to communicate with them over the phone."

"Breakfast ladies were great. If your darker than beige, you may have a different experience than others. They charged me twice the lodging rate, made it difficult to call a taxi, were suspicious and unwelcoming. The room itself had everything you wouls need. Is walkable to the train station about twenty minute walk, the location is near the dam so thats relaxing, theres a public bath that was obviously not for me but for more cherished guests, the grounds are good, the town is cute with lots of...

"지하철에서 도보걸이로 가까웠고 시설이 다 편리했습니다 다만 거미가 들어와 있어서 깜짝 놀랐습니다"

"Staff amazing, hotel clean. Location pretty good one stop from Kyoto or a 20 min walk. Hotel was clean and felt very modern. Little downsides were loved the coffee stations but if your rooms near it you will hear the grinder and the chatting. Apart from that felt like a good local hotel."

"Very nice Ryokan! Slightly removed from the core but there are 2 buses that regularly go into town so its not a huge issue. We stayed in the private room on the lower floor with the private zen garden, highly recommend if its available as it was amazing for late night drinks, and the sounds of night and the river that runs beside the ryokan. A must stay for a traditional experience! One Laundry + dryer on site for a small charge (plus you need to buy a detergent packet from the front desk,...

"The staff is very friendly and hotel is beautiful. the only complaint i have is i ordered Japanese breakfast through expedia."

"Beautiful property and great location"
