Oceanfront Cottage at the Edge of the Earth, St. John's

10/10 Excellent

"This was our second stay at the Red House. It's a great base camp for exploring the beautiful Avalon Peninsula. We hiked many sections of the East Coast Trail and would end the day back at the comfortable and quiet house by the cove - looking out at all the ocean sights and sounds. We saw many whales on the trails and from the house. When we arrived, a big group was feeding right in front with lots of flipper and tail slapping and one memorable breach. This was before we had even had moved in! It's a beautiful little house with wonderful artwork and everything you might need. Sitting out on the deck at the edge of the world is quite an experience. We'd recommend it to everyone."
