"I feel like I wasted my money staying here. I got locked out of my room. The room had a nice kitchenette and eating area, but the pillows were flat, and room somewhat outdated. The breakfast could have been better. And no one uses the pool. It’s walkable to the beach but not close enough to walk to downtown Encinitas or other beaches"

"Construction was every where. Cardio room, Business Center, Lobby, Laundry all closed. Boxes, workers, spray painting, orange cones, dirty laundry, trash was our view along with the massive noise of the system (air conditioning). No discount or subtraction of resort fee or cost for inconvenience, noise, terrible smells, lack of amenities, etc"

"We had a lot of fun doing the various activities that were offered between the two hotels. There was plenty of different playgrounds and stations to keep us occupied. The breakfast was amazing, great food and lots of variety for picky eaters. Rooms were comfortable and stocked with plenty of supplies and legos."

"I was expecting something special when I booked this stay. It was OK… Certainly not special. The room was OK, not as nice as the price point would suggest as the suite’s furniture was shabby and worn. I have had better bedding at roadside motels at less than 1/5 the cost than the bedding here. It felt like sleeping on a piece of plastic and smelled like cheap deodorant. The spa was great, food was good, and staff was great. Early morning walks allowed for some great birding! Our “villa” had a washer and dryer! Our villa also felt like we were trapped in a cave, complete with the smell of mild mold. Additionally, I expected to see original art, not stuff hanging off walls that looked like it was purchased at a discount used furniture store. The carpet, especially the outdoor carpet, needs replaced. There are much better values out there, not sure I want to return."

"The property was/is being refurbished and the registration and front desk are completely closed. There was no clear signage telling us where to go to check in. We circled the building 3 times then parked and called the front desk. Got put on permahold but eventually got told where to go to check in. Then the check in process was painfully slow although the staff were very kind and doing best they could. I suggest a banner or two pointing people to temporarily check in area as well information on website and or emails to booked guests."
