Rainbow Falls can only be seen by hiking the 2 additional miles from Devils Postpile (0.4 mi) from the trailhead. The only way to reach the trailhead is by taking a shuttle inside Devils Postpile National Monument in Mammoth, California. The hike is easy but fairly open so it can get pretty hot in the summer, but the view of Rainbow Falls is absolutely gorgeous! Highly recommend making the trip if you’re in Mammoth. "Besides the room is clean, I am very impressed with the kindness of all people who work there. First of all, Belinda, who works at the front desk is phenomenal. She was very helpful and resourceful in helping us. Our car was broken and she provided tremendous help in finding resources so our car was fixed and we could drive back home. Breakfast was awesome, it was simple but food tastes good, love the omelet. If you are looking for an affordable place with best customer service close to Yosemite area, definitely consider Oakhurst Inn!"
