"A Hotel Experience Like No Other I have travelled to many places and stayed at wonderful, luxurious hotels, but I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed a hotel as much as this one. It is truly amazing in so many ways. The Soul of the Hotel – The Staff The best thing about the hotel is the staff—they are the soul of the place and make your stay unforgettable. Everyone is genuinely kind and interested in you, from the gardeners tending to the grounds to the chef, reception staff, and waiters. Their warmth and care are what truly set this resort apart. Specifically, I would like to thank the following staff for taking such wonderful care of us during our stay. All the staff members were incredibly kind, but we interacted the most with Osrida, Christina, Sarah, Odria, Ellen, Lydia, and Anna. They were kind, efficient, and made us feel like part of a family. Their attentiveness and friendliness added so much joy to our time at the resort. Breathtaking Setting and Beautiful Grounds The hotel is situated in a beautiful lagoon in Nungwi, with absolutely breathtaking beaches. A special touch: there’s a bench placed by the hotel for guests to sit and enjoy the staggeringly beautiful sunsets over the beach and pool area. The grounds feel like an oasis unto themselves. I ventured outside and looked at other nearby hotels, but none had the same lush, manicured greenery. It felt like living in a botanical garden, surrounded by birdsong. Truly a paradise. "

" My partner and I spent 8 nights at Riu Jambo and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was clean, spacious, and overlooked the beach, which made for a beautiful setting. Housekeeping maintained it well, with daily cleaning that kept everything fresh and comfortable. The staff at Riu Jambo were outstanding — always full of energy, warm, and incredibly helpful. I unfortunately had an accident while in Zanzibar (unrelated to the hotel), and the way the staff supported me during my recovery was truly exceptional. They were accommodating, caring, and always ready to assist. A special thank you to William, who we often saw in the buffet dining room. He was a pleasure to speak with and always made sure my partner and I were comfortable and well looked after. The rest of the breakfast and dinner team were equally amazing — attentive, friendly, and welcoming throughout our stay. While the food could be a little repetitive at times, there was a wide variety and something to suit everyone’s tastes. If I return to Zanzibar, I would absolutely stay here again. "I really enjoyed my stay at Cocolala Beach house. From the owner Carola, to the staff, they were all extremely friendly and helpful. Being that I took a solo trip for my birthday to Zanzibar, I really appreciated Carola in making sure my day was very special. If I had any questions or needed any assistance, someone was always around to help me. The hotel was always clean and fully supplied with water and toilet tissue. If you’re looking for a comfortable and safe hotel with a 2 minute walk to the beach, this is your place! "
