Norfolk Waterside Marriott

10/10 Excellent

"The staff were excellent when we came to stay before and following our cruise. The port is a wonderful viewed walking distance from this hotel. The hotel is located in a safe space and within walking distance to so many restaurants and fun activities. It was so great, my kids have asked for us to actually go and plan a stay specifically there and in Norfolk for a few days! Thank you for the hospitality and comfortable stay! Staff went above and beyond and it was just a great stay!"

"I was concerned about making a reservation due to other reviews, but we totally enjoyed our stay. It’s an older beach motel, and they are very difficult to maintain, so not everything was pristine. Salt spray is hard on buildings. However, the staff was very nice, our room and the common areas were clean, and the Chesapeake Bay is right there. We didn’t get to use the pool, but it looked clean and beautiful. I would absolutely stay here again."

"Would be 5 stars instead of 4 but Im not sure if the housekeeper got sidetracked but the full trash bags from our trash cans were left on the bathroom counter, and the bed linen was not refreshed. Microwave needs better cleaning. We did not use it because it we didnt have products with us to clean it out. Bed was comfy. Room looked nice and I felt comfortable enough to walk around in my socks with slides. Water pressure i the shower needs help. All in all Property look/feel/location was worth the value. I would stay again."

"Check in was 1 hr late. Under staffed for big event. Outside patio chairs needed new cushions. Staff was friendly. Our room tv wasn’t working & they took 2 hours to get it fixed, but gave us free breakfast for the problem. Great location & parking. Next to ferry. Enjoyed our stay"

"When I first found this resort while looking for a place to stay in Williamsburg and I saw how reasonable the price was, I thought this was too good to be true. However, this place was everything we imagined and more. The property was very clean and all of the staff we encountered were so friendly. The amenities were amazing and there is something for everyone. We stayed in a cottage and it was so nice. It was perfect for our getaway. It has everything you need for your stay! The only downside is we wish we would have stayed another day or two to be able to take advantage of all the resort has to offer. Highly recommend!"
