Coylumbridge Resort Hotel

Coylumbridge Resort Hotel

8/10 Good
"Check-in was slow as usual. There's a fast-lane for those of us who had checked in online, but it was getting used as a general lane. The person checking us in needed to know who we'd booked with (why? It was all paid, and I'd already checked in online). Next he asked my name, but then said 'No, no, no.' I was sure I was right, but he was sure I was wrong. But then he found me on his computer screen and it turned out that I did know my name. Staff were exceedingly pleasant and helpful, especially the dining area staff. Top marks. Queues at busy times (buffet style) but the food was fine, though not spectacular. For the cost of the meals, one could have a lovely table service meal in a restaurant but if all-you-can-eat appeals, it's not bad. There's plenty of car parking spaces, but lots of white vans parked - and long-wheel base vans take up at least two spaces, and sometimes more if they are wide. Dedicated parking spaces for vans would be useful. At night, it can be hard to find a nearby parking spot but the coach car park always has spaces. Overall, cheap and very good value for money and I do recommend this venue without hesitation."

"SUPER friendly and helpful owners and staff!! We would love to stay here again and make more use of the dinning option. We had dinner and breakfast once each, and they were fantastic! I'd highly recommend the venison stew as it and the sauce it comes in are "Ten out of Ten"! Really nice full breakfast including options to make it a "full Scottish" if you wish."
