"This visit our room decor was more modern. I really enjoyed the classic look from our last visit. The toilet did not work properly so that was a minor inconvenience. We asked for maintenance to bring a tool, but we needed to checkout prior to him arriving. Our room did not come equipped with a mini fridge, which we have grown accustomed to having. The reception staff was wonderful each time. The view of the castle was the best part, it was gorgeous!"

"Highly recommend this hotel. The location is fantastic next to the train station and centrally located to shops and restaurants. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful! High tea was a travellers delight! Fun to stay in such a historic building!"

"Excellent location by the river and close to best restaurants in town. All fixtures in the Apartment were top quality. Whilst very clean, housekeeping was not the best. One day we were missed and problems with iron & TV but quickly resolved by Shaun, the on-site manager"

Leak in fridge & stagnant water in bottom drawer, shower door hanging on by a thread, no toilet seat in en-suite, stains on sofa cushion covers, leather sofa holes, wooden floor in kitchen water damaged, etc!! Location is great for party goers, bit noisey at night for us"

"We were here on vacation. The location was great, right by the river. The restaurant was good (they seem to dry-age their beef themselves). Staff very helpful, facility very clean. Only drawback, no elevator (which was only an issue with luggage, but staff offered to carry bags up for us). We'd happily come back."
