Jo and James made us very welcome and the barn was beautifully appointed. It's position in Northumberland gave us good access to the coast, Hadrian's Wall and the national parks in the area. We would happily return to this accommodation.

This cottage is stunning. Set in a working farm with everything in the cottage you could want and need. Recently renovated and furnished to really high standard. Clean and pristine. The owners are lovely and helpful and could not do enough suggesting walks and places to go. Nearest small shop is over 5 miles away so make sure to get provisions (if needed)

Had a wonderful stay and such a personal welcome. Very thoughtful as spending Christmas on my own. The owners are a lovely family and very friendly and approachable. The cottage is immaculate and I slept well, very comfortable mattress. The kitchen was stylish and I enjoyed cooking meals. The power shower is glorious! The views around the area are stunning and the sheep are all around so a very authentic country experience, glad I took my wellies. I would definitely return to see the area in the summer. Already missing the place it's so cosy and relaxing. All in all...great!

Great hosts & great (very warm) cottage. Rural so nice to get a clear evening for star-gazing (on edge of Dark Skies park). Good location for everything - midway between Hadrian's Wall, Kielder, Rothbury, the coast...

My husband and I had the most amazing 2 nights here, total bliss. The barn has been rennovated to a very high standard, very homely and extremely comfortable with everything you need, including a lovely welcome hamper on arrival, thank you Joanne! There are some great walks in the area with amazing views across Northumberland. The local village is only about a 25 minute walk and the local pub serves great food and ales. If you are looking for somewhere that will completely take you away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, then this is the place to go; we will definitely be back.

Spindle Well Barn is an excellent place to stay for a quiet, relaxing holiday in a remote location. The cottage is cosy and well appointed with everything for those who want to self cater and plenty of information about local places to eat for those who don't. The owners are kind and very helpful, we could not have asked for more.

A beautifully converted barn, Ideal for getting away from it all. Its Ideally situated to visit Kielder, Alnwick & the coast. The local pub and micro brewery is worth a visit to sample the local produce. I would highly recommend the barn for a comfortable stay in peaceful surroundings.
