This town has gorgeous beaches, a lighthouse, a boulevard, cliff jumps, wildlife in the wetlands and nightlife, great ingredients for a diverse vacation.
People told me to be prepared to be hassled on the beach by all kinds of vendors. I didn't find that to be the case. There weren't too many vendors and none of them were overbearing. The beach is absolutely gorgeous, calm and clear- perfection!

It's still got the fishing village character and feels more authentic than other resort areas. Places are not open super late, but there is a large selection of places to eat and drink. The beach is lovely and offers lots of activities!

I would say focus your search for an EPIC Jamaican Tropical Vacation Get-A-Away on the West End area of Negril, way less touristy and you'll experience a much more relaxed & peaceful experience and won't want to leave ~ EVER, trust me - LOL!

Easy walk to lots of diners. Go to Sunrise for best pizza. The owner is Italian. Safe walkways. There is a Catholic church on the stretch with warm and friendly priests.

"The hotel was super clean, and I even got a free upgrade for booking through Expedia. The room was nice and the mini fridge was restocked daily. I loved the rotating food themes and the unlimited drinks were a bonus. Staff were friendly, polite, and made great conversation. There was entertainment every night, which kept things fun.
