Negril Palms

"Negril Palms has so much potential, and I truly enjoyed the location. The ambiance at night was beautiful and relaxing. Unfortunately, the overall experience was just “okay” for me. My first impression was not very welcoming. The entrance area looked more like a back-of-the-building service area, with two large tarps covering something, a trash can sitting outside, and an overall appearance that could use some attention. The customer service was another area that could use improvement. Staff often appeared disengaged or slow to respond, and there was not much of a warm welcome when arriving or when assistance was needed. At times, staff members were on their phones or gathered together, which gave the impression that guests were not the main priority. There were also several maintenance issues with the room. The bathroom door did not close completely, some of the electrical outlets did not work, and the closet door was broken. The room and surrounding areas could definitely benefit from some upgrades and more attention to detail. I also noticed that the pool remained closed until the lifeguard was ready to clean it, which was disappointing for guests wanting to enjoy the pool. One interaction with an older gentleman who walked around the property also made me uncomfortable. He repeatedly asked me to go out to different places with him, and I did not feel comfortable with the way he approached me. I think guest comfort and boundaries should always be a priority."

"I just love the staff and the atmosphere at Country Country, I've stayed at all inclusive with all the bells and whistles, however, Country Country is quintessential Jamaican, owned and operated,I've stayed here on 5 different occasions, awesome, Camille in Country Peppa is the best, and I've found, walking onto the property is just like walking into the rain forest and at night, tree frogs sing you to sleep"

"I have stayed at White Sands on many occasions. However, under the new ownership there have been some improvements (i.e., the dining room and the menu). One of my favorite places to stay in Negril. If you are on a budget White Sands is a great place to stay."

"This property was awesome ! I spent my birthday here and it was wonderful…the cabin was clean …the beach was right there… The food and the staff at the restaurant was good… The front desk staff was pleasant and always helpful… I am planning to go back very soon"
