"We were about a block from the beach. Far enough away to feel alone yet near enough to the beach and Reggae Bar to easily enjoy them. The house and host (Troy) were excellent."

"They have a very clean swimming pool. The ocean is very close to the property. They also have a lagoon like section with sandy floor, where you can swim privately. You might also see Sloth, monkeys and exotic birds roaming the tall trees around the property. The area is very tranquil, and very safe. They also serve hot breakfast to your taste…"

"Topo’s Tree House was exactly as described and pictured. We loved it! Everyone in the area was friendly and helpful. We found many activities in the area to occupy our time black sand beach within walking distance. Playa Puerto Viejo and Playa Cocles had beautiful light sand beaches a short 30min drive. National Park to explore and snorkeling excursions and other opportunities there. We enjoyed the hammocks when we returned to the tree house. Thank you Topo for sharing your beautiful and unique home with us we loved it!"

"What a beautiful property! There was always enough shade in and around the pools, and excellent bird watching within the hotel grounds. The location was excellent, with the beaches, national park, and town/restaurants within easy walking distance, but it was nice and peaceful at the hotel itself. Our room was nice and the shower was excellent. The only problem was the lack of soundproofing - we heard every word and footstep from the suite above. The staff were exceptional and very helpful with booking a driver to take us to Limon airport "

"Having visited Cahuita before, we can confidently say that Casa del Mango is a total gem. Staying in Cahuita is exactly the "off the beaten path" experience we prefer, offering a beautiful and impeccably clean place to stay while still being just a short, easy walk to the beach. The wildlife sightings were a constant highlight for our boys during our stay. We woke up to the incredible sound of howler monkeys every morning and spent our days spotting sloths, toucans, and vibrant frogs right around the Casa. After a full day of adventure, coming back to such an incredibly comfortable home/ bed was a dream, and the kids spent every spare minute playing in the pool.What truly sets this place apart, however, are the incredibly gracious hosts who made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. We have such a deep love for this area, and Casa del Mango is easily our new favorite spot to stay. We will be back for sure!"

"Once in a lifetime experience! One full bath upstairs with the 2 bedrooms which both have air conditioning that works great. 1/2 bath on the first floor and a semi outside cold water shower which is perfect for washing off the sand. Easy walk to the beach! Most of the place is open air but the bedrooms are enclosed and lock. The gate to the property also locks and there’s a safe in the bedroom. We had no problem with mosquitoes but it was a little dry. Saw 2 toe & 3 toe sloths, one with a baby. Howler monkeys came the first morning, my daughter thought they were ghosts . The host was wonderful, great guy. He built the whole thing, it’s a work of art! "
