"We had the whole family here. My wife and I, our three daughters and grandkids for a total of 9 of us. This place was perfect for us. Plenty of rooms for all, and the large kitchen gave us lots of room for all to gather at meal time without tripping over each other. We loved the large yard where the kids could run off their energy and the large deck was a real joy. When we had a question we got answers almost immediately. That was a real bonus. "Mr. Hunter's cottage is a lovely cottage from a by-gone era. Located in the mountains of Giles county, VA, this cottage is comfortable with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. The cottage is furnished with pieces that could have been there when it was built. The cottage has a beautiful porch, a great place for morning coffee. There is a very nice restaurant just steps from the cottage. I advise having at least one meal there, make sure you have reservations, as it can get quite busy. The restaurant was...

"This was our 4th stay. We love the location - so close to many hiking trails and Va Tech. It is quiet and peaceful; it has beautiful views of the mountains, and it has a wonderful, fenced area for the dogs - and it even has a doggy door that our dogs learned to use. The house has everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable. When we were not out exploring, we spent our time in the sunroom. We hope to visit again next year!"

"The bus was awesome! Had everything we needed for a short stay. Comfortable bed, a nice fire pit, shower, toilet, and refrigerator. Lacking ample firewood scavenging. Suggest bring your own firewood. Recommend keeping your dogs away from woods as there were an abundance of brier prickers."

Plenty of space to relax, listen the the birds and lake, and reconnect with friends and family. It is a 40 minute drive the the Va Tech campus, but was worth it for the space."

"Historic Roberson House was perfect for my family when we were all in Blacksburg for my daughter’s graduation! The house itself was clean, well appointed, and charming. The location couldn’t be better, you step outside the front door and you can see the Upper Quad! Since we had some elderly relatives with us, we didn’t walk everywhere…but anyone physically able to would have found the campus easily accessible. One suggestion, maybe i overlooked it but state that cell phone connectivity is low due to area. If you have a wifi code you should include it in welcome letter as when you get there the service is very low to non existing."
