"Super friendly staff, in a magical place in the deer park surrounded by nature, some great little shops, shrines, and animals. Nara was the absolute highlight of my trip to Japan and this Inn was a dream to stay at. We loved our time here. "
"I chose this ryokan since it was the only reasonably priced one in the Nara area. It has a beautiful garden just outside our room and the room itself was comfortable and large. The only downside to the place was the strong smell in the room and the cockroach that I had to kill as it crawled across the room."

Deer biscuits run out by 2 pm. Feed the deers near the temple. The deer are more chill there. The ones near park are more aggressive but make sure biscuits in sealed bag so deer does not smell the biscuits before you are ready to feed them

Awesome town. The people here are incredibly friendly and nice. Aside from the deer park, the shrines and restaurants are all top notch. So many hidden spots if you walk outside of the typical tourist spots.

Small, friendly, pretty city with first class attractions & many happy tourists wandering around. A bit short of restaurants at night - we ended up finding noodles at a convenience store when we couldn't find anyone selling vegetarian food.

Nara is the excellent place to go around on foot. It is not nearly as crowded as in Kyoto. The great place to enjoy nature in slower pace. Highly recommend Yamanobe-michi for the wonderful hiking.

The grand Buddha is highly recommended and the area is generally very easy to get around. The deer are cute if potentially dangerous.

Quiet and nice area in general. Some local residents are friendly too, although they may not speak much English or other language. Deers can be a bit aggressive sometimes, just need to be prepared.

Nara is a quiet town. Which was nice compared to Osaka. Hotel is centrally located and not too far from the deer!

Dont day trip, stay, super restaurants and bars away from the hubbub of Kyoto and Osaka.
"Extremly convenient for staying close to Universal. It was roughly a 6 min walk to the gates, or to City Walk - endless food options. There are literally 3 Lawson locations in City Walk, and another un the neighbouring hotel, and yet another about 500m away. Two 7 Elevens nearby as well. There is a small fridge in the room. We used the laundry room on the 2nd floor - a bit expensive and the dryer wasn't the greatest, even after doing double the time. Staff were wonderful. Highly recommend."
"Great hotel very gorgeous and clean. Breakfast was amazing there. Das was super helpful and loved to help out with my six month old while my husband and I ate. Would definitely recommend and would definitely come back. "
"Great hotel, took us a bit to find it but that was only because we had to figure out the labyrinth of tunnels from the train station. Appreciated the fact that it had laundry facilities. "
"Given the price, this is a great place to stay, breakfast is good, location is terrific! Close to the train station, close to many of the main Osaka attractions, close to where most day tours depart, close to food, clubs, bars and anything you may need. The only minor thing I didn't give 5 stars for conditions and facilities is that the bed and pillow were a little too hard, I understand this is kind of a budget stay but if these could be changed for a softer mattress and pillow, this would be by far the best place to stay in the area."
