For consideration: lots of narrow stairs. On 3rd floor of bldg, no elevator. Two story apt with more narrow stairs. Information booklet needs to be updated. Never completely figured out how to use induction stovetop. Overall, enjoyed the accommodations. Lots of room/space for the 5 of us."

"Our check in process was very difficult. The owner never emailed the check-in information so we had to call VRBO for help but after about an hour of standing outside when finally got in. Our booking was in July so of course japan is hot and humid but this rental was very hot, very humid and had a mosquito problem. Even with the AC and dehumidifiers on the upstairs was way to hot to sleep so we all slept on the main floor. Also, with this being a traditional Japanese home the beds were mats on...
