"The Cozy House looks just as it does in the pictures. I love the location in the hills of Santa Teresa. I searched long and hard for a location outside of the tourist area, but close enough to enjoy the sights and a room with a view of more than the building next door. Cozy House checked all of the boxes. The staff was accommodating and helpful. The room was pretty clean. I did notice a few overlooked areas, but nothing alarming or that made me feel uncomfortable. The breakfast was...

"This hotel is in a quieter part of Copacabana beach. It has a nice rooftop pool with a great view of the beach and an amazing breakfast buffet. Easy access to beach and restaurants. Staff is very nice and helpful."

"Conveniente la ubicación, limpio y desayuno completo. Es un hotel un poco viejo y no modernizado pero limpio y cumple lo que se busca."

"It is absolutely a beautiful unique house with a gorgeous garden… the room was very spatious and amazingly quiet. Communication was a little difficult breakfast basic and the room could be cleaner but it was my first visit to South America and am probably too much used to European standards"

"Every was great"

"Very close to amenities and it’s probably the best place to stay if you want to enjoy the Beach. Staff are very friendly and helpful with our questions. I’m not done with Rio and definitely come back to the Hilton"

"Ótima localização, excelentes opções de comércio e alimentação bem próximo ao hotel. Café da manhã muito bom. Os quartos são bem pequenos e tive problema com o chuveiro, cheguei a solicitar troca de quarto, pois não esquentou. Quando trocamos, o chuveiro permaneceu com problemas e não permanecia de jeito nenhum em uma temperatura fixa, mudando pra superquente do nada mesmo sem mexer nos registros."

"The hotel is very basic. The rooms are quite small, and the hotel seems to operate at full capacity most of the time. They are generally unable to accommodate early check-in or late check-out. Guests have to wait in the lobby until 3:00 PM, and then suddenly all the rooms seem to become available for check-in at the same time. There is no iron in the room. If you need one, you have to go to the front desk, get a special key, and access the first floor, which is a little inconvenient. The...

"Never stayed in such a poor hotel in my life. I know I should not expect much from a "budget" hotel, but at least they should provide with essential goods in the room. Virtually you only get a bed in a very small room to sleep and nothing else; no shampoo (there was a shampoo bottle but it was empty. Although I asked the staff to refill but they ignored my request), no drink water, no cups to take water from tap. The room was small and dirty. Breakfast was OK but the foods were the same every...

"Excellent - great place to stay, staff were excellent, lovely breakfast. Great location & secure. Feels very cosy"

"The location of this hostel is fantastic, and the people here are incredibly helpful and kind. However, I wouldn't choose to stay here again due to a few drawbacks. Cleanliness was a bit of an issue—while the downstairs washroom was clean, the upstairs shower area was in bad shape, and the shared kitchen was quite dirty. The property is in an older building tucked behind a condo, and it lacks a social atmosphere. It was also a bit uncomfortable having people sleeping on the couches in the main...

"Surfaces in the room were covered in sticky marks from drinks glasses & one of the pillow cases had burn marks or stains on it. The bathroom mirror had toothpaste or soap splatters on it too. The bed was comfortable but we booked for twin beds & got a double instead! There was a decent spread for the breakfast, & it was labelled with a description in English as well. But no decaf coffee option was available. A lot of the staff were very helpful & friendly, but the ladies at the check in desk...

"I have nothing but positive things to say about my five night stay at this hotel. I love the location.. in a residential area which was relaxed and not touristy yet not far from the heart of Copacabana and just a short taxi ride or bike ride from Ipanema. I had a partial ocean view room which was spacious and very comfortable! There was excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water.. and the bed was very comfortable. The staff throughout the hotel were very friendly, gracious and...
